He wasn’t someone you’d want to see
While walking along a path
For he may not like humans too much
Might even take out on you his wrath
A black bear right by your car
Is something that’ll make my heart pound
When you are in bear country
You’re better be cautions, I’ve found
So while on vacation, my friend
If you travel where wild animals roam
Especially the large black bears
Hope you are far away from their home!
Better to be safe than very, very, very sorry. Nice write and good advice, Marilyn. Thanks for sharing. Richard
A single black bear has been known to break into cars just to get the food people leave there until they are ready for it. In the Chequamegon National Forest in Northern Wisconsin, you will see bear claw marks on the trees. This is how the bear marks its territory. But there have also been people who say that they were saved by a black bear. But brown and black bears aren't as ferocious as the mighty grizzly. When you can hear the grizzly growl, then you know he is on the warpath, and is warning others, even other bears, to stay away. These are very wise words to follow Marilyn, because even though they say a bear may be tame, not all bears are named Yogi or Boo Boo. When you go through any wild counry, or even some of our national parks, keep your windows rolled up, and the doors locked. Love & hugs, Barbara

It's no wonder the ancients thought they were gods...no matter how much you see them in a zoo or on tv...I can't imagine facing up to one...Coach
