Black Canvas

To find a meadow with nice healthy grass
And lie down on one's back on a warm night
Staring at the heavens with piercing depth
The stars flickering on a black canvas
Silver spears of light thrown down by the moon
Bathing one in a silent melody
Brings all aspects of the soul to the skies

When biting Boreas, fell and doure,

When Phoebus gies a short-liv'd glow'r,
