Black Dog Poem by Steve Hayes

Black Dog

Rating: 3.5

I didn't see you lurking
In the corner of his mind
Your little innuendo,
All of us still blind

You came out of the darkness
No one there to make you heel
You struck with no compassion
A soul you'd come to steal

Your darkness somehow lingers
In the minds of all who'd seen
The darkness of the Black Dog
You'll always know he's been.
