Black Forest Poem by Charles Thomas Carter

Black Forest

Left behind... yet vaguely smiling.
I was sealed in this chamber
and my eyes fixated on the outer
darkness
and soon, I began to remember again
colors, sounds, signs
shapes of ellipses
my muse is so far ahead of me
I pick up her leavings
For I am to be the fixer of
lower rungs...
and the one I found there,
the zero which loved me,
once...
and cast aside
snow became fallout ash
I remembered the fall
of ATOM... upon his hill.
How we are all breached.
Bleed bleed bleed...
Die'n Die'n
Fragile.
