Black Haired Beauty Poem by Ina Davila

Black Haired Beauty

rinsing the dye straight out of her hair
alone with no one else there
no one else to watch her as she fails in life
no one to even hide the knife
as she watches the black water flow down the drain
she said there's really nothing to lose or gain
drys her hair, straightens it, then looks in the mirror
her look could've not been clearer
taking the bag into her grip
taking the skirt and hearing it rip
hearts and cuts carved out everywhere
but there's really no one to care

she walks down the road as people point and comment
she wishes quietly that thay would bomb it
bomb the world so her life can end
shes left alone without a friend
her tears hide behind her dark makup
trying not to trip and start to shake up
shake the feeling that she needs to cry, scream, and run
but they know that being her is not that fun
being alone everynight without a soul to talk to
people really dont know what she has been through

she walks into the school and then people gasp and stare
she has a feeling like theres no one to share
her heart slowly turns to dust
forgeting everything that she must
must do in order to survive the world today
wishing that she can just lay
lay so quietly in that grave so she can be happy
happy that she has been set free
now she writes these notes to herself and puts them in her book
people staring at her and saying to eachother take a look
look at her, that person who has no soul
but now they have no one to call so dull

now that shes walking home in the rain so they can never tell that she cried
no one would even care if she even died
but later that evening they find her hanging from a tree
people smile and says i think shes happy
shes finally been set free
from the suffering and misery
agony and irony
but now her soul is free
