Black Lace Poem by Alyce Crow

Black Lace

Imagine a world without hate.
One that can clean my slate.
Wish for a place to hide a day.
Want for a fire, a toy to play.

Oh, calm down my twisted rage.
So long as I'm in a cage.
Hide me in this deep dark place.
Dress me up in soft black lace.

Please don't tell me that I would,
For what it's worth, I wish I could.
Suppose that I won't stay a while.
I would gift you with my smile.
