Black Rose Poem by Bob Dragon

Black Rose

Oh, sweet and beautiful rose,
covered in thy thorns,
black as night and cold as ice,
yet pure as a mountain stream.

Your Black Pedals,
and stem, barbed,
hide a sweet secret.

Outside you are black'
black and bitter.
Inside you are white,
white and sweet.
