Black Woman Poem by Aji fatou Gai

Black Woman

Rating: 5.0

A black woman is so sacred just like the night
Pretty her skin is even without light
A wonderful phenomenal sight
A black woman is warm, real, and bright
She might so strong
She never submits
She is not afraid to shine in her naturality
She is proud
It can be said aloud
A black woman is like a root that will sprout even without water
A black woman beautiful, intelligent, wise, and fearless
She was born a fighter, a real warrior
Since the beginning, a black woman was known to stand out in every situation
A black woman's skin is like a black diamond
Her curves can take away the sanity of a man
She will leave you with nothing but the urge to fall on your knees
A curve that embraces her entire beauty
With hair that takes different shapes and shades
With just a peep into their eyes and you can see a whole new world
Look a little deeper and you will see the true sense of humanity
She has a voice that was meant to be heard but was never listened to
Because they gave them a purpose to serve, wives, mothers, sisters, and daughters without a choice
They made a great voice, voiceless
A strong soul, powerless
A wonderful soul, wonder less
They were left behind so much that their heads can't be seen
Too few of them chose to stand high
Some greater ones were remembered but forgotten.
