Blackbird. Poem by Adrian Wait

Blackbird.

Rating: 3.5

The blackbird threads her melody,
As the sun spills into early morn.
Embarking upon another day, without you,
my eyes turn to the heavens,
searching for you in the clouds

Your song offers restoration,
To the seasons of the heart
Reminding me of my yesterdays
When loves silent comfort encouraged
Knowing not that we would ever be apart

Blackbird your song pronounces
Melodies that touch the heart
I thank you for the memory
For being there along my way
being in the mornings
Friendships never leave me
