Blackened Shadows Poem by Johnny MartinEZ

Blackened Shadows

blackened shadows slink through the night
seeking to revenge the retched gall of their ghastly fall
stilled only by the betrayal of their chanting caterwauls
from the scorched passion emanating from their dungeons walls
they of the tormented souls from the spirits of the dead.
with each tic of the clock, a disconcerting flight to ignite,
as bitterness flows from their wretched souls
thus be provided with ghostly retinue
