Blackness Poem by sue crocker

Blackness

Hollow emptiness, dire straits,

Dark is the mood that it creates,

Blackness comes, sows its sin,

And my mind is trapped deep within,

Cold my feelings, hard my heart,

It rips my very soul apart,

Bearing down, it makes me bleak,

Causing sadness, restless sleep,

No escape, from this dread,

Confidence sapped, hope now fled,

Blackness holds me in its snare,

I am alone trapped in there,

Darkness like a cruel black sea,

Sends its waves crashing over me,

Suffocating, I gasp for breath,

Drowning now, out of my depth

you leave spaces between your lines, with lots of air dancing there can't be out of breath then. Breathe the air in your spaces
