Blame; Hope Poem by Daryl lyraD

Blame; Hope

He never saw this day,
day forlorn day for loss.
it is the price to pay,
For mistakes without cause.

It was never her,
Such a cliché, such truth.
Getting her to fall in love
all over again, his biggest folly.

She would have been fine,
If he weren't so eager.
She would have been fine,
If he weren't so loving.

He meant the world to her,
And she meant everything to him.
Yet to decide to fall apart,
That decision confounds.

Perhaps life is that way,
Simply irrational.
What else can he say,
Mustering a sorry.

That means so little,
But means so much.
Perhaps life is that way.
Circumstances simply didn't work.

Maybe somewhere in another universe,
They are together.
Maybe sometime later,
Maybe somewhere only we know.
