Blessings Poem by Kevin East

Blessings

I should be grateful
For the colours God paints his sky.
For the twinkle in my lovers eye
Even when she told me goodbye.

Grateful
For the kiss of the breeze
Moving bliss through the trees
With a perfume to seize
That dawning first light.
Such colours are these
That are swept in its flight.
Who afforded this dewdropp scent? .
Rainclouds applauded
Magnificent! .

We should be grateful
For lifes' plateful.
Stealing moonlit walks
Healing midnight talks.
Rain goes
Then rainbows.
Sunsets kiss the ocean
Painted with such devotion
With some heavenly notion.

Grateful
For fragrance
Early morning lends
And your sexy smile
Secret lover
As our evening ends.
No wish to recover
When blue moonbeam descends.
