Blind Faith Poem by Mae Summerville

Blind Faith

Rating: 5.0

Am I the only one that sees the sadness
That emanates from your decieving eyes?
You've walked this world alone so long
That's why you tell all the lies

But, remember all the beauty that I see in you
Everything that you can't see
The good, the truth, the innocence
Everything that you desire to be

My faith in you still strongly remains
Im not giving up on you, no not yet
I've invested my blood, my sweat and tears in you
Im not loosing this time, on this you can bet

I only wish that you could see
That your worth is more than gold
That God made you special just for me
Then threw away the mold

I saw the gleaming sparkle
In my mother's knowing eyes
That day I took you to meet her
Was a prayer answered before she died

Look into the Mirror my love
Look deep into those big brown eyes
Do you see what I see?
Something besides your silent anguished cries?

God has blessed you with a gift, your life
Never to feel alone again
But, just remember this, no matter where you are
Always, always hold up your chin!

Your mother would have seen a difference in you
I feel certain that she would
She knew that you were special
Even when you didnt always do as you should

When you find yourself soul searching
Look deep into the mirror of your eyes
Just remember the real you is in there
God is right there beside you, no need silent cries

Grab swiftly and hold tightly onto your faith
I promise it will see you through
Hold on to it for all dear life
Pray hard, and believe that your life can be brand new

There's definitley a lot of love built into this poem and faith is the focus. Prayer, lots of prayer is needed to help this individual get on the path to glory. I truly enjoyed the read, thankyou for sharing.--Melvina--
