Blink
Things happen so quickly
One second can change
your world
one breath can alter
the course of your existence
One action can bring
it all crumbling down
Things change so fast
you don't even see it
or feel it until its done
and you're left with
empty hands and
an aching heart
wondering how and when
everything fell apart
I hold my eyes open
so I don't miss a second
but you can only
avoid blinking
for so long
