`blood. Poem by Tiffanie Lein

`blood.

blood.
07 sep 08
for my beloved sister.

transcending space and boundaries
impervious to test of time
jumps from nerve and arteries
more value than many-a-dime

thickens hatred and blurs perception
but blinds fault and liquefy pain
binds two mortals linked by conception
hardens and dulls -but immortal- when slain

makes two so seem apart
but yet like the silver chord
can't break, can't tangle; for a start:
even as both age to wrinkled bittergaurds

it's crimson, it's purest passion,
it's love, in it's greatest fashion.
