Blood Stained Heart Poem by Nichole Flynn

Blood Stained Heart

Rating: 5.0

This poem was not written by me. All rights belong to my good friend Donavan Hall.

As I lay here dreaming of the days long past that we shared together, you take a blade into you hands with the intent of passing that very blade through your skin, that I ling to hold and caress. These scars and wounds showing to me all the pain in your heart that I can’t be there to help you through. It’s killing me inside, no-one can feel it or see it but I feel it all the same. With every pass of that blade through your flesh you tear away yet another piece of my heart. It tears my heart apart to see wounds telling me of the pain you felt without me there to be your protector, your lover, and your friend. I’d be all these and so much more if only they wouldn’t keep us apart and let us be together as we are meant to be.
