Bloodshed Poem by Dorsey Baker

Bloodshed

Rating: 3.0

Red white and blue folded flag
dead hero
zipped up in a body bag
Body bags and bloody terrain
bombs and bullets rain
war takes its toll
on the body and mind
an experience
that is hard to forget
a memory
that is hard to leave behind
psycological wounds
take longer to heal
but they are
just as real
war is a demon
and life is
a battlefield
