Blue Poem by Ana Monnar

Blue

Rating: 5.0

My son’s blue eyes love to see
The deep blue rich color of the shining sea
Aquamarine gemstones cut and polished to
make bracelets and rings
As blue as the spas in New York State’s Saratoga Springs
Blue is the outer space viewed from Earth, the infinite sky
Immeasurable distance, seems so very high
Blue are the denim jeans that fit so comfortably
During an exhilarating game or an
invigorating assembly

Apart from being an archetypal image suggesting truth, religious feeling, security etc, blue, as Sandra notes, is also the colour of the creative writer. This poem is pleasing to read.

There is something very poetic about the color blue. Lovely work, Ana. Warm regards, Sandra
