Ellen Shaw
Blue Dress
Star studded dark blue sky
A place to get lost
Or a place to stand out.
Winter's wind dancing by
Kissing my cheeks
And slapping them red.
There I stand
Dressed in blue
Wrapped in scent
And unravelling you.
Poised.
Collected.
Calm.
Beautif ul.
Blue.
Twinkling lights adorn the room
A place to unleash
Or remain in control
Drum Beats and laughter boom
Moving through my body
And keeping me still.
There I sit
Wine in hand
Slowly unwinding
Into myself
Aware.
Alert.
Disciplined.
Eye -catching.
Blue.
