Blue Eyed Girl Poem by Keith Franks

Blue Eyed Girl

Rating: 3.3

A small black Island,
Surrounded by an endless blue,
yet only a pair of lids,
separates me from you.

Rapunzel's hair,
Resides about your complexion,
your individual flair,
brings this complication.

An individual so fair, ,
so cute and unassuming,
bid me greet, while i stare,
ever - wondering.

Beguiled by your essence,
a testament to beauty,
I'd protect you from the hells,
as if it were my duty.

However,
My feelings, I contrive,
If ever asked - I simply:
'Like to keep the mystery alive'
