Blue Eyes Poem by Resa Lynn

Blue Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Your big blue eyes.
Look at me,
I glance right down,
Cause I'm scared you'll see,
The hurt I've seen,
Words I didn't mean,

I give you my trust,
So soon,
So much,
I know you'll never leave,
Your hands clutched to my heart,
No-one will tear it apart,

Your more than a friend,
Your the sun,
Shining high,
Up in the clear blue sky,
Like the sparkle,
In your eyes,

Without you,
I know I would fall,
With no-one to catch me,
No-one at all,
Your always there,
To pick up the pieces,

I could tell you anything,
No matter what,
You'll still be there,
When everyone else walks away,

It's you I tell,
When everyone wants to know,
It's you I need,
When everyone is around,
I come to you,
Pushing past the rest,

Your smile could brighten,
The stormiest of days,
Your hugs I need,
When the tears fall down,
I feel as if I'm finally free,

Your big blue eyes,
Stare right at me,
I stare right back,
Because I'm not longer afraid,
For you to see,
Me.

Beautifully written. I love all the emotion and love put into that poem. The stanzas are perfect length and flow easily.
