Blue is the New Black

I think I would rather wear blue

(Or some metropolitan hue)

If the dead in their graves should talk

(But they'll say that it's generally true)

That blue is now the new black

(When someone's not coming back)

And it's fine, and no one should gawk

(Though wearing blue takes some knack)

No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
