Blur Poem by Francis Duggan

Blur

I hear the chainsaw bur bur bur
And there's it's operator 'Blur'
A cutting suckers at the ground
The best worker for miles around.

The best worker or so they say
A sweating for his hard earned pay
But one would have thought by now he'd know
That he'd earn no less by working slow.

And to live there must be an easier way
Than working in the hot sun all day
With saw on ground or up on tower
Where every minute seems an hour.

To have a quiet drink with a friend,
To water ski at the weekend,
To watch the Warby 'big men fly'
These are the things he most enjoy.

I hear the chainsaw bur bur bur
And there's it's operator 'Blur'
A cutting suckers at the ground
The best worker for miles around.
