Boat Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Boat

Boat

This boat went through crashing waves
Then landed on a sunny shore.
It had seen so many, many things and more.
It wasn't a boat for no reason.

It was a boat who had seen all seasons.
The winter, summer, autumn and fall
Were not enough at all.
This boat had been around the world how many times.

It rocked on the gentle beach waves
Then decided to outward again.
It had to do that you see
For lessons it would teach you and me.

My life has been a series of boat adventures.
For that I have no regrets.
The only thing left to do
Is this boat keep having more adventures.
