Bogged Down Poem by Ben Paterson

Bogged Down

Rating: 4.5

Screaming and rioting in your mind

Turned blind by the mass hysteria

Moments leaving your feelings damp

Expressions torrentially shift in every direction

For every mammal has its complexion

Found poem! Interesting how you were able to cull together this poem with such significant meaning. When I first read it, I was thinking how unique your word choices were yet how effective in conveying the meaning the theme. I also like the transitions between you and the 'group.' The last two lines are fantastic! I would love to hear more about how you put this together in your notes. And the title, aptly describing your poem, is it also 'found? ' Well done. Bravo!

Indeed, every mammal has it complexion, and to envisage life without difficulties is an existential absurdity. Life at very low ebb well depicted in the poem. A nicely encapsulated piece of poetry well penned. Thanks for sharing Ben.
