Boiler Pump Failure Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Boiler Pump Failure

What did we do before Central Heating?
How did we all stay warm?
Why cannot we remember the days of yore,
When the cold winter days we would abhor?

Why are not our bodies immune to the cold?
Heat is not good for us,
Muscles do not work in climes too hot,
But we worry about it, not a jot.

When our boilers fail, what do we do?
Worry about getting them fixed?
Who can we find? What will be the cost?
For how long will our heating be lost?

Why cannot we put on extra clothes?
Save money on heating costs too,
It will cost more to have the boiler mended,
Let us pray our cold spell will soon be ended.

The pump on my boiler broke on Tuesday,
The Gasman he cometh today,
He will get the parts needed soon,
And will hopefully mend it on Friday.
