Bond Poem by Tyler Chang

Bond

If you can't see,
take my eyes

If you can't hear,
I'll lend you my ear

If you are lost,
take my hand

If you fall,
I'll help you stand

Don't tremble, don't cry

Sometimes, we don't need to know why

You're not alone
You have a friend

I'll walk this road with you,
every step, to the very end

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
True friendship is hard to come by. You can rarely consider anyone a real friend. Bright smiles and soothing voices doesn't make anyone you're real friend. Bonds are established between two people over time, a trust. Without this, what are we?
