Xandra Smile

Bone Epic - Poem by Xandra Smile

The supports have broken
Tumbled down around feet
Those pearly beams
Trampled by pure might
Tricked not, only brute force
The supports have fallen
Tried and trusted
Through wear and tear
Trailing in the dirt
To go on is futile
The supports have collapsed
Time reveals their lustrous beauty
Traces of a life long past
Tainted not by age
Today’s memory of yesterday
