Bono And Bob Poem by Matt Mooney

Bono And Bob

Rating: 5.0

Bono and Bob in Live Eight in Hyde Park:
It’s our boys that’s doing the business;
They're heroes of rock, heralds of hope
Across the broad bands of the media.

African famine could soon be just history
For the Global Eight is dropping their dept;
In the hope of an end to all the corruption.

In the far fields of Africa drums will beat
At the news from our Bob and our Bono:
They’ll walk with a happier step in the heat
While their war is won simply with music.

A beautiful and well-deserved tribute to our Bob and our Bono. Lovely poem.

We hope and pray that the drive to make the world a better place for living will become a reality.

Matt, I can still here the drums beating, to herald their good deeds. Bob

Optimism must be an Irish thing. It pours from my pores... as, apparently, it does yours. Better to be disappointed at the end of life, than to spend a life of misery. Mike
