Boredom Relieved by Poetry

Sitting home alone
Bored as bored can be
Checking the news
Same old story
I write a poem to keep myself occupied
For a few minutes
It helps
I no longer feel bored
I'll write another poem soon
It helps me emotionally
Poetry rocks.

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

It is the hour when from the boughs
The nightingale's high note is heard;
It is the hour -- when lover's vows
