Boring Bliss Poem by Francie Lynch

Boring Bliss

Let's ban beer,
Expel wine,
Prohibit whisky.

Let's banish porn,
Curse smokes,
Relegate pot.

Drive off knives,
Expatriate guns,
Deport bullies and fists.

Let's ward off the divine,
And the ghosts,
And those who think
They're holy sons;
In any or all
Religions.

Let's proclaim a holy war,
A jihad, if you wish,
Crusade against what
Makes us human,
And live in boring bliss.
