Both Sides Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Both Sides

Visions of fine blue marble lions
Sceptre of unspoken dreams
Palace of silver luxuriant time
Everything alive with meaning

Solitude is a fortress of wisdom
Hate evaporates with the dawn
Dharma is earth and angels
Seamless sky of eternal soul

Candles reveal forgiveness
Crimson ruby red streams
Rivers that cry now laugh
Onyx ships bright with stars

Inward eyes of ancient future
Jewels of a sea of glass
The mirror of joy and sorrow
Soul of the past tomorrows

High cliffs overlook the sea
Who can see eternity?
Deep in the land of light
Inside the gates of gold

The split man sleeps tonight
Chained in mortal atrophy
Can you hear the flowers sing?
Someday soon I'll sing with you

Do you dream on both sides?
