Braeden's Song [i Still]; Copyrighted - Jennifer Hanners

They say there will come a moment when everything’s right…stars are aligned.
I felt it happen. The moment we met.
They say, “You’ve got to have strength…you’ve got to have faith…and time heals all wounds, ” and I try so hard not to forget.

In moments when I smile, in moments when I cry, I know my God holds my hand.
In moments of peace, in moments of storm, in moments when I shout, “This can’t be your plan.”

I still raise my voice.
I still bow my head.
I still fall on my knees every night at the foot of my bed.
I still see His arms in the soft morning light, embracing my soul and then rocking my baby goodnight.
I still.

I’ve heard there will come a moment when you don’t know what to say.
I felt it happen. You know when it happened.
God bless the friends who take time to ask, “How are you doing today? ”
Sometimes I can’t breathe. And it’s hard to be happy.

In moments of anger, in moments of doubt, in moments of light growing dim.
The joy of the Lord overcomes in this child
and in a smile, and in a laugh, and in a touch I see Him.

So I raise my voice.
And I bow my head.
I still fall on my knees every night at the foot of my bed.
I still see His arms in the soft morning light, embracing my soul and then rocking my baby goodnight.
I still…

Believe. Because of Your will, waters will rage and I will have peace.
I still hold on…
You know how I feel Lord…he is my son.

I still raise my voice.
I still bow my head.
I still fall on my knees every night at the foot of my bed.
I still see His arms in the soft morning light, embracing my soul and then rocking my baby goodnight.
I still.
