these raindrops they pour
hard on the ground
no longer they sing to me
of the worries around

they sing to me a melody
of a time here now
free from the woes
and questions of 'how'

they tell me about hope
that it overcomes fear
they teach me to dream
to let sensation come near

they humm a tune
of a distant land
they offer to help me
and lend a hand

engulfed in their rhythm
i follow the white light
at last i break free
from the shackles of the night
