Breathe Poem by Kristien Blend

Breathe

Rating: 4.0

Fingertips brush slowly over bare skin
kissed by sunlight.
A shadow of a touch from yesterday
carried by the wind to me.
A flash of white
pearly teeth arranged in a quick smile
that so easily parts your lips for me.
A laugh that echoes
in the caverns of my mind
Deep and warm
soothing comfort to my inflamed soul.
Hands so strong and gentle
Holding mine, caressing me, seeking out
the tender spots of hidden skin that
make me dissolve with laughter.
Two bodies under the sheets
pressed so closed
tangled up limbs.
Where does one end and the other begin
I breathe you in
and exhale love
