Breathing And Ego Connection Poem by Tushar Ray

Breathing And Ego Connection

Rating: 5.0

Our breathe is like a flywheel turning a turbine
That in turn runs every part of our body-machine
No matter how small they are in our nifty engine
All keep dancing in own way in majestic unison

The Infant's breathe quickly starts after an outcry
Causing the diaphragm move in an up-down mode
Making the 'to and fro' motion as breathe flows,
Fully meeting oxygen-need and toxin elimination

Consciousness is the creator of newborn's body
When baby genes are encoded with past impression
Mother's womb acting as a caretaker of embryo
Making new parts and to degrade-eliminate on need

Motherly love secures a baby growing in her womb
Forever feeling consciously at-one with her unborn
Following the split staying close to her newborn baby
When baby lives as extension of her motherly Spirit

Then babies breathe and its functional-self act as one
Bringing a total spontaneity in every act of the child
Its information is gathered by senses till intellect buds
When contrasts in the baby-breathing are seen to occur

Such contrasts appear as the effects of varied emotion
Altering in that condition baby's energy consumption
In order to fulfill body's need the breathing rate change
Being directly linked to the rate of energy consumption

Controlling our breath by yoga helps to control emotion
Similar to reining a running-flywheel to reins machine
Hence managing our breath helps to improve our health
And in turn, helping to regulate greatly our own ego-self

Wow! What a great description of breathing and what it actually does and it's connection with our ego. You vividly portrayed an infant and how it derives it's life from it's mother and growing into it's senses where it finally can nurture itself outside the mother. An amazing picture you have formed in my mind with this poem, Tushar. Thank you for sharing. Love your scientific explanations through poetry, they seem to come alive and have meaning when you write them into poetry. RoseAnn
