Breathing The Air Poem by Jodilee Duke

Breathing The Air

Rating: 3.3

As I step outside the air,
I can hear the whisper of lovers.

Rolling within a hide away,
absorbing the moment for their treasured box.

Listening to them softly laughing,
and the pauses of silence in between.

Two who never knew,
what true love or happiness meant.

Yet, sharing and caring,
adding no wall nor hurts from the past.

Who would have known,
how powerful true thoughts fill the heart.

Breathing in the air with care,
hearing thoughts of you whispered in my ear.
