You'll never understand
Just how much you hurt me
You'll never stop to think
That you've changed my life for the worse
You abandoned me
When I needed you most
You left me empty inside
With no hope for a future
But lucky for you
I found one on my own
I've found the Lord
I found hope, I found life
No more searching to fill a void
That's empty without Christ
No more struggle to show my pain
With the slicing of a knife
God is my loving Father now
He's given me power and life
Under the bloodshed of the Lamb
I've found a brighter light
