Broke and Asleep (Clean Edit)

You promised me
It would be
You and me
But you don't see
My sanity
Slipping past with every tear
Covering my every fear

No pain no gain
It's what they always said
But I can't ignore what's in my head
Scars reopened
I have bled
'Cause all the hope I'm being fed
It's fake, it's weak
I'm broke and asleep

Can't keep playing this game
It's too much pain
Screw this
I'm done
I won't lie
I will cry
But not as long as you'd want me to

No pain no gain
It's what they always said
But I can't ignore what's in my head
Scars reopened
I have bled
'Cause all the hope I'm being fed
It's fake, it's weak
I'm broke and asleep

It's like we weren't even
The pieces didn't fit
Huff and puff
You won't be tough
Don't give me that look
I've read the stinking book
Keep your excuses
They have too many uses

No pain no gain
It's what they always said
But I can't ignore what's in my head
Scars reopened
I have bled
'Cause all the hope I'm being fed
It's fake, it's weak
I'm broke and asleep

No more to say?
With me that's fine
I've drawn the line
Find another
Not one like your mother
I'm done with being alone
Now drop the phone
I've got nothing else to say
So be on your way
