Broken And Shared Poem by Dominic A. Okoliko

Broken And Shared

Broken and shared like crumbs of bread
Here is food enough for you and for me
Come round the table where love is ne'er spared
Come have your full and sing songs of glee

He is love poured out like a libation
The spring whose fount never run dry
Come to the table of salvation
And taste of the food which gives life

Eat of the food and you shall never hunger
Drink of the cup and you shall never thirst
Seek him no more among fancy yonder
He is right here in the ordinary bread
Always eager to satisfy your life quest

And are you full of the Lord?
Then you are another of the bread
Be broken and shared
That your other self may be duly fed
