Broken Down Poem by david gerardino

Broken Down

WE put on our costumes,
then fix up our hair, learn
to smile in our family pictures,
then sit back, and watch this
well made movie, stop and go,

then we whisper our woes,
then slow down to a halt,
and see the truth, this is not
love, just a broken down family,

WE take off our costumes, put
our smiles away, then close our
eyes, for some much needed sleep,

and i dream of beatifull love, mom
and dad, and my brothers and sisters
caring for each other, and money,
nothing more then a footnote.

David, dont lost hope for such beautiful dream...maybe someday all fix to seal all broken piece who knows...I dont know what is real but when you write it feels so broken...If possible maybe it's you have glue power to stick back all pieces into good one back..Family portrait is best taken when it did candid hahaha so no one can pretend a fake smile :) ..cheer your own soul, there's still time to fix all brokenness :) _Unwritten Soul
