Broken Heart

I will live my life wide awake,
I won't let the good things pass me by.
There's no way that everything in this life is bad,
After all, I know that we're right.

We promised we'd be together,
Always and forever.
And nothing would bring us apart,
So why did I end up with a broken heart?

Where did you go?
I feel so all alone now!
Does it show-
How hurt I really am?

We promised we'd be together,
Always and forever.
And nothing would bring us apart,
So why did I end up with a broken heart?

In all of my life,
I've never felt so low.
In all of my dreams,
I never thought you would leave me all alone.

We promised we'd be together,
Always and forever.
And nothing would bring us apart,
So why did I end up with a broken heart?

We promised we'd be together,
Always and forever.
And nothing would bring us apart,
So why did I end up with a broken heart?

So, why am I the one who has to hurt?
When you're the one who decided to leave me in the dirt!
You're the one who decided it was over and left!
Get the heck* out of my life and don't come back!

We promised we'd be together,
Always and forever.
And nothing would bring us apart,
But you wanted more, and you left me alone.
But I won't let myself have a broken heart.
