Broken Pillar Poem by Zolani Nkomo

Broken Pillar

Rating: 2.8

My Brother Needs A Shoulder To Cry On
A Pillar Of Strength To Lean On
Especially When He Felt He Couldn't Carry On
Today I Was The Wrong One To Lay Your Burdens On
I Used To Be That Guy
Life Broke Me Down
My Shoulders Aren't As Strong

A Spiritual Healer Told Me He Was Weak
So He Couldn't Pray For Me
As That Would Need All His Energy
He Told Me Go Boy You're Still Young
Catch Prayer and Some Sleep
You'll Grow To Be As Strong As Me

Comfort Me
Words Are Sometimes Comforting
Sometimes They're All I Need
You're Spitting Melancholy
So You Might As Well
Spare Me Your Philosophy

Speak Life and Not Death
I'll Live The Rest

Leave It Up To Me
To Live Is Up To Me

Send Our Pains Up To Him
To Walk Again Have To Sever Cancerous Limb
If She Still Loves The Old Me
I'll Save Her Him
