Broken Promise Poem by wardha jawdat

Broken Promise

Rating: 2.8

And yet lived
And yet i ate
Drank
Slept
Wept:
Did all
That the lving do
And more
As time went on
Even though
I'd
Buried you.

Though very short and subtle, this poem wrenches out the soul of the reader wholesomely, for, it contains the basic nature of man, going on in spite of odds. Thanks for sharing. arya

When it's broken, just sweep the pieces away and bury the past-march towards a brighter future... never fear of the moment of darkness before the arrival of dawn. :)

Very impactful simplicity. Very dramatic despite so short. Excellent use of words

Short and condensed yet very powerful.. The condensing of the wording actually makes the idea stand out from the language.
