Broken Wings
I sang to you just like a dove
and wrapped you in my wings of love
now i cant lift off and take flight
so without you i must fly solo tonight
please bandage my wounds and heal my heart
pull from it your infectious darts
emptyness fills the nest where i felt safe
you tore down my walls and left only hate
so here i am perched with broken wings
a beautiful bird who no longer sings
only a feather or two still float around
all thats left of the dove who's love you shot down
so dig a hole and dig it deep
make me fit from head to feet
on my grave please carve a dove
to show the world i died for love.

This is absolutely beautiful! The word choice is perfect and the mood is consistent throughout the poem, which is hard to do. Great job!
