Brookeian Sonnet Poem by Tan Pratonix

Brookeian Sonnet

Rating: 4.0

If I should die (and die I will)
Don't think of me; think only that
A life (one in a hundred mill-
ion) is gone; think only that.
What if a nothing in a no-
thing had been given a soul? What
If a something had lost it? Oh,
Consider the magnitude of that.

From light unto darkness; from dark-
ness unto light? How do you know?
We live in seas where manic sharks
Move stealthily. We do not know
Until they move on us and kill.
Then scream, shudder, and all is still.
