Bubble Bath Poem by Jacqueline Dorantes

Bubble Bath

Rating: 5.0

This poem is dedicated to Alejandro Dorantes Junior. Although the poem is confusing, I will forever cherish the memories of our childhood that we formed, even if we grow older.. This poem symbolises our journey through life and how things change. Remember I will always love you, my little boy!

Exposed, bare white skin,
Reflecting off the surface of the tub
Becoming lost in,
Foamy bubbles of innocent love.
Bath water running,
Intimate parts hidden by underwear
Splashing water fall,
Twinkling, bubbling giggles without care.

Bubbling, foaming,
Shiny crystals glittering off the walls
Warm water flowing,
Nephew and aunt in splashing waterfalls.
Soaked curtains hanging,
Like the future of us hung in the air
Exposed, bare brown skin,
Soaked, curly black hair.

Bitter sweet bubbles,
Twinkling tears on the broken curtains
Kids quickly growing,
Cold bubbles swimming like dark green serpents.
I protected you,
As much as I could from the dark waters.

Splashing water falls,
Such a cruel world in which nothing matters.
