Bud Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Bud

They’ve attacked
Once again as always
Like Mongols and Tatars
Like Barbers, Britain
Warriors and looters

Gadfly is prone
Coming down
USA’s for Afghans
With firm wings
Humming bird in flight

At the edge of the branch
Bud’s covered, is bride
Her smile taking heart
Her secret, Lullabies of winter
Love-season on its way

Geese attacked
Hink-honk, hank
The necks long as camels’
Grey chest, wings black
Geese are back, they are back
