But I Never Lost Hope

Hope is the seed I sowed
to grow a tree,
big and with widespread boughs.
The fight within
and outside,
wounded me.
I bleed,
I cried,
but I never lost hope!
In my leisure,
the sights of the long
past come one after
Love, hatred, affection- - - -
all the faces of emotion
throng around me.
I ask- - -Who are you all?
They say- - -we are from past,
whom you defeated!
They fade away
in the air.
I start another
battle to meet another
coming day! !

Poem of the Day

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
